Weeping Willow Tree

By Pete Tucker

Let not its name deceive you
With its life so easy and free.
Branches swaying with the breeze,
Ah, the ease of the Willow Tree!

What will it do today?
Its reply is soon to be.
That answer is in the softly wind
Caressing the Willow Tree.

Is it ever not in motion?
At least a subtle sway.
An ever so mild waft
And the Willow doth obey.

If ever a divine creation
That one might chance to see
Would be the wondrous gyration
Of the Weeping Willow Tree!
