By Pete Tucker
This wave of the very moment
About to spill upon the sand
Seems ably regulated
By Nature’s Godly hand.
Indeed, there is yet another
That swells ready in wait.
In perfect preparation
Its splay is never late.
That I may somehow guess
What pattern it will choose.
I am thus humbled,
For it follows its own cues!
Indeed, it will get to shore
As it always does,
And soak the sodden sands
To become the wave that was.
