I don’t seem to have it
This China flu they talk about.
I keep looking over my shoulder, though.
Seems it carries quite a clout.
I am troubled at breathing
And my balance is out of whack.
It has been a while
Since my last vertigo attack.
It has nothing to do with the China flu.
I have my own rendition.
A flu of a different color
Its a pre-existing condition.
I did nothing to bring it on
Just woke up one morning
Strange how it just showed up
With no prior warning.
Hey, we play the cards we’re dealt.
Then this little gift from China
Why Thank-you Chairman Xi .
Your gift is most heartfelt!
We might only hope,
That some day you have the chance.
To learn the tricky steps yourself
Of the dreaded COVID dance.
